Default So, were a few days in? Thinking of rerolling? Already rerolled?

I might. Who knows. I might condense my Ranger/Cleric combo into just a Druid, and be part of the Druid army. Or just a Cleric.

All I know is, the life of a Ranger is a hard ass one. I will probably try a few more days to press on, but that 40% is real. I'm only level 12, and i've been wasting way too much time playing.

The real difficulty isn't so much the penalty alone, but the drama it brings. Ive only ever been demonstrably denied once outright for a Rogue that I know of. Also, two other groups got angry over a Ranger being in their group making the leveling slower. Some bickering has broken out and I get concerned that will make it tougher to find groups with anyone who got involved after, etc. This is compounded by the minor camp issues that come up from overpopulation, unrelated to the class, but adds difficulty to groups. Most of my groups have been outdoor though. Dungeons are a crapshoot right now.

Couple things changing my mind:

As a Druid I know automatically i'd be around level 15 I believe if I performed as I did on the Ranger with the experience totals, but the kit is a little easier to solo with too starting at 14.

As a Cleric everyone will want me and its still a fun class for me to play (I like all roles basically), and im sure any bickering will be forgotten easily ;D

So I might reroll. I might not.

Anyone run into issues with your initial class choice?

sry to enable your altohalism. it's a good idea to stay with your one char, but i imagine its getting to be a good time to be a cleric

'first wave' imo is still in full effect, so things are overcamped.. but pretty soon the traditional needs for tank and main healer will be pronounced and every camp will have a group ready to invite

would b a fun journey to the top as a cleric in groups in the 'second wave'

I have a high elf cleric and wood elf druid and both classes are overly represented right now in Gfay. Clerics are great if you can devote the time to grouping because after lvl 10 they suck bad at soloing. At least Druids can rock the solo 1-60 if needed to. They get better at it as they level up due to animal charms, dots and quad kite spells.

Every group likes 1 tank, 1 healer and 1 CC. That leaves three slots for DPS. Monks and rangers get dps or pulling spot. So I would only be a ranger if one I didnt mind the hybrid penalty and I likeed pulling because you will be asked to a lot. But man is it nice being able to fear kite solo as a ranger along with sow and invis.

Of course rogues are most wanted of all. Every group loves to have more than one of them, guilds love to get as many as they can get and you don't have the groups lives in your hands the way pullers and healers do.

This thread is making me want to start my rogue now... I’ve already started over once DE Cleric to a halfling Druid. Although I am having fun, I wish spells weren’t so expensive. Already have his name and everything, oyyyy!
