p99 Privacy Question
I reread an older thread today before leaving for work, don't remember the name of the thread so I cant find the post to quote (tired, I could if I felt like effort) but..
It was someone who was versed with coding talking about looking into the P99 launcher / update codes and said "part of it was borderline privacy invasion" and someone ten asked what he meant by that, to which he never directly answered the question. Anyone know what was meant by the remark? Sirken/staff feel free to answer, this isn't accusatory. I was just curious what he stumbled across to make him say that.

It was likely a troll fishing for reaction.

I think the person who started that was the Sleeper server guy , so you can take that for what it is worth. A bit of poisoning the well me thinks.
I am pretty sure one of the nerds on here would have caught anything by now. I do remember though that my virus scanner used to flag p99 when I first started here but has since stopped.

They have a process scanner which can read the name of every window and every process that is running. It automatically flags your account if you have a process like mq.exe running. In other words, if you browse porn while playing EQ the server Admin(s) would know if they looked at the data.
