I need help.

I have everything downloaded and patched. I have an account here and one on Emu both same user name and password, but when I try to log in. I get invalid password. I feel like I am missing a step.

Or more appropriate I guess. How do I figure out what resolution to use? I tried the one suggested, tried the one my computer suggest and about 15 others. There is literally thousands of combinations to choose from.

So, your best bet is to stick to a 4:3 resolution and windowed mode to start. If you already tried just deleting (or renaming) eqclient.ini and letting it generate a new one (assuming you haven't installed under program files) then start with something simple and work upwards from there. For example, on my 4k screen I play in a 1920x1440 window on half the screen, and I use the dgvoodoo2 dlls because they work better with my laptop if I unplug mid-game.

Note that if you go too high you may have difficulty reading some text in game (at least my aging eyes do) so that's where you'll want to fiddle with the dpi and scaling settings. There's another thread in these forums that covers that when (if) you get to that point.

You can type any resolution you want into eqclient.ini. On a 2k monitor (2560x1440) I use 2560x1374 windowed since that gives just enough room for the title bar & task bar.

As far as the password issue, can't really help there. Make sure you're using your eqemulator login and not your p99 forum login.

Resolution is a bit weird.

You can actually type in your resolution in the eqclient.ini file, wherever you saved Everquest to.

I made mine 1920x1080. I still have issues with mine in Full Screen. Like if I click the top portion of the screen, it will minimize the game. But it's pretty easy to avoid and only happens when I'm under threat of death ingame.

Then when you login, you can get some weird resolution issues when you click your mouse. I sometimes have to press Alt+Enter to adjust things. Its mostly at the character select screen. Sometimes dragging the character window up until your mouse cursor turns light grey helps.

It's a bit...particular. But you get used to it.

So quick update. I can get live eq to launch and play just fine but still no P99 or any other emulator.
