Default Intermittent Game Freezing

Alrighty, lookin for a wee bit of help here.

I seem to be freezing at a semi-regular interval every two minutes or so. Now while I'm grouping, it's not really a big deal since I'm just twisting songs and slapping on things. However, when I go to AE kite, this shit is deadly, and makes one of the best sources of bard exp completely invalid.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
System Specs:
Windows 7 Enterprise
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2400 CPU @ 3.10GHz 3.30GHz
8.00 GB RAM
64 Bit OS
NVIDIA GeForce 7950 GT (Double set)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This isnt a slowdown/speed up issue as most quad/dual core problems I see on here, but a complete 2 second freeze. Ideas?

The Nvidia-Card is a SLI setting, or dual-card ?

Did you update graphic-card driver ?

EQ2 had the same problem for alot of people for some time, and it was a clientside problem, where the client wouldn't work properly with NEWER versions of the nvidia driver.

Doubt it is the same here, but might be a hint.

I didnt personally, but one of the other two who use my computer may have. Ill give rolling the drivers back a go and see what happens.

And yes, its a dual card setup.

The graphics adapter is like 5 or 6 years old. I am pretty sure the problem is somewhere in the setup with 64bit OS system and the dual-card. These cards were never too refined, especially in the early years of them.
If you have a more up-to-date card at hand (preferably nvidia so u don't have to switch the drivers back and forth) try that one.

Alrighty, driver swapping seemed to not really do anything, even tried the on-board graphics card, and im getting the same issue.

I see this issue was 3 years ago, but I am experiencing the same problem. Here are my specs:

Windows 7 64-bit
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40Ghz
8.00GB RAM
GeForce GTX 680

I have tried using WinEQ2, but it did not help. I have also tried lowering my graphics to the minimum with the spell opacity set to 0% and far clip plane to 0%.

If ANYONE has come up with a solution for that, please PM me I would be extremely interested in figuring out how to fix this issue!

Use a solid state drive or set up a ram disk.

Had a similar problem, funnily only with my Iksar. Turned out to be a problem with GameTexTriggers, which was set to another chars log file. Changed it to my Iksar and the freezing was gone.
