Default Hiero Cloak vs Lodi Shell Back Slot

Currently considering replacing my Hiero Cloak with the Lodi Shell as back piece.

Gain a lot of AC, resists, but lose 75 HP.

Do you carry around both a hiero cloak and lodi shell to alternate?

or is Lodi good enough to just liquidate the cloak?

You get more out of the HP in non raid scenarios.
In raid scenarios the lodi is better for the MR and AC.
It's really close though.. Is the chance to resist a spell or take slightly less dmg from a physical hit going to out weigh an extra 75 hp of buffer. debatable. Unless that spell is fear in which case resisting it could be the difference between a wipe or success.

Back slot items in velious are lacking compared to other slots.
I think there is a cap of sorts on worn AC which was raised with velious. So that may factor into the choice too. May want to add up what you currently have to see if the extra 13 AC even is applicable.

Are you also taking into consideration that the Lodi shield actually has a unique graphic? That would be the deciding factor for me right there.

If lodi shield were visible on back it would be a no Brainer

Cloak of confusion could be a decent middle ground if you need the resists.

Middle ground? If not specifically needing eb or fr/cr that cloak beats the other two... Even for sk that one nets over120 hp and got neat resists...

I have been thinking of switching to CoC for my warrior as well. As my warrior is a Wood Elf, it's going to take a little extra work for me to get her STA up. At level 60 the CoC would provide a warrior with a total of 141hp. It has decent resists, albeit not as good as the Lodi shield. The Lodi shield , however, provides no HP. The CoC also has +15 CHA which will benefit DI in raid situations. I have no experience with using DI so I'm not exactly sure how much of an impact CHA has on it, but this may be something to consider.
