Default Crafted Armor or not

Hey guys, I just wanted some feed back here, because it's been quite sometime since I've played. I recently rolled an Ogre War, and I have gotten him to lvl 26 now. My question is, should I bother with the Crafted Armor quests, or should I just save my plat and buy other gear. This is my first toon on the server, and I've acquired about 800pp so far. I'm currently in full Banded Armor. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

At 26 you should be able to solo parts of the quest yourself. I can give you a good tip on how to get 2kpp in two-three days. Head to permafrost, farm ore from the goblins closest to the entrance. Many of them will be green but the money is incredibly good for the level and due to the ZEM you will still see a good increase in XP.

Your problem as evil as that you will have difficulty selling the ore when your bags are full. You could create a lv 1 barbarian mule to do the selling for you, there is a barbarian vendor not too far outside the entrance. Put all stats into CHA to sell as high as possible.

Blocks of ore sell for 50pp
Large bricks 16pp
Small bocks 5pp

20 blocks of ore is 1kpp, this could happen in half a day if you are lucky! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] In 2-3 days farming you should be able to get yourself a full set of crafted, with a bit more work you'll also get the cheaper bits of cobalt.

I had a great time gathering the components to this quest on my warrior. I highly recommend it. Don't just get your piece and leave though, use it as a chance to level up your warrior. There are some great spots (KFC, Mistmoore, etc) where you can get some pretty good xp.

Some areas are a bit dead/remote though so if you sometimes just have to smash the mob and move on that's okay too!
