Pardon my ignorance, but what was the bot doing? Casting heals on an NPC? I don't get it.

heals and buffs would land on a player character. But the bot is trying to cast offensive spells on the target (kill the NPC) and so it will not land on the targeted player. That is why it says "but you are protected"

Not sure if quotes work, but if you add them to friends list and do a /who all friends they'll show up. Have run across a couple of people who didn't show up in /who all name.

Ofcourse Mannastone was able to find an exploiter... it takes one to know one :/
