Ive heard people say that about moving to the ghetto while they're pricing out all the people that made it a ghetto, since I was 18 and moved out into the ghetto to price people out of the ghetto. Even if you are not wealthy, you are like, "into" the whole ghetto lifestyle. So when your friends mom is like, 'i hear people get robbed there, how can yo udo that!' and since you are white privlaged and living off of trickle down economies you're like "haha you're just not cool enough to get it, boomer!"

Haven't got a read on you being which one, but closer to the block button - you waste precious post space that could be used by other upstanding and intelligent members of our community.

Like 99% of all information and modern political discourse is currently exchanged on these platforms, they are effectively a digital town square and I think they have to be treated as such (not moderated, except for blatantly illegal content or blatant spam).
I mean you can make the argument they need to be regulated simply based on election interference; they all acted swiftly to squash that hunter biden laptop scandal when it first dropped right before the election, and after the election many dems who were polled said they never heard of it, and would have seriously reconsidered voting for biden if they had known. I mean that's just blatantly influencing the vote tallies, in a direct way, by suppressing that story. Russian interference is nothing compared to basically having a monopoly on driving the bus of public discourse.

So whats the plan to nationalize these institutions like twitter or facebook?
Have them hire large numbers of slaves in 3rd world countries to vet every post and make sure it's not misinformation, or censoring a conservative? Reminder: the reason we dont have that law is because it would stifle any competition as large companies would be the only able to pay those costs. So no competitors to Facebook or twitter would ever be able to challenge them. Forever. Youtube, forever, no new video platforms, as all will be shut down due to costs of vetting posts. Is there some new idea about how these companies can be nationalized? because the current idea is to go with an idea that the mega corporations convinced us would be impossible for them to pay for, except now, the mega corporations are saying we DO need it.
