Want another player on my IP

Hi Everyone!
My son just got a new laptop for his birthday and just started playing EQ, but we can't play together yet. How can I get the exemption? Thanks!

There's a sticky to read. I forget the fine details. It can take a while sometimes I guess. I think about a week when I did it. But they got to it and someone will likely message you too! Have fun!

Be sure to have him make, or make him, his own account(s).

My son's first 2 toons were on my accounts. Once he played enough on his own and had sorta figured out, we can now group together. But with his toons on my accounts, that was an issue. One account I basically handed over control to him, the other, we deleted the toon and moved gear to reroll on his account.

Some folks are saying it's like a week and a few are saying they wait 6 months or so. They do it in batches apparently. Some folks have been doing a VPN or something in the meantime and im not sure how well that flies but the important bit is do not have one person manipulating two characters even for a moment

You can do anything you want as long as you don't 2 box. So you can use a VPN as long as you aren't 2 boxing. If you have an IP exemption and you 2 box, you're busted.

So don't play 2 characters with 1 guy. Don't log on to your enchanter to drop a clarity on yourself.

Don't spend time thinking about how you can get around the rules. Just play the damn game like you might have in 1999. Maybe make your enchanter a stripped account and share it with your pal so you can both clarity eachother.

Follow the rules and have a great time. Play on red.
