2v2 Tournament - RNG Bracketed Teams + Rewards

Heyo, told you guys I'm back to experience some new to me Velious content and reminisce on the Project for some nostalgia tripping.
So far so good, though I do wish there was a bit more activity on the server.
With that in mind, lets get some community-inspired events going and see what transpires.


*The only requirements for sign-up is that you are level 60
*The only restrictions will be Golem Wand, +/- Health clickies (Reaper, Soulfire, IHoop, TTooth, etc) & Bows for Warrior+Shadowknights


For the first PvP event I want to see how much interest we can garnish by taking sign-ups to enter into the 2v2 tournament.


Planned for 9/16 @ 12:00PM EST Located @ The Freeport Arena
Cut-offs will be by 9/15 FRIDAY @ 9:00PM EST


Below is an example of what we can expect with how many contestants acquired.

8 signatures = 4 teams = 3 matches
10 signatures = 5 teams = 4 matches
16 signatures = 8 teams = 7 matches
20 signatures = 10 teams = 9 matches

The teams will be RNG, this means that for our first tournament there will be NO pre-determined teams. You will be placed on a team with another contestant and you will be expected to perform to the best of your team compositions capabilities.


Prizes are TBD - I guarantee that the 1st place team will be able to choose an illusion potion from past PvP events that I have stored away, these include (Essence of Vah Shir, Erudite, Gnome & Gukta of various charges)

Every now and again nostalgia takes over reason. What happens is we all played way to much eq at one point or another and it just bottles inside waiting to come out. Let me be that guy to say eq pvp isn’t coming back how you want it to come back so struggle to fight demons of the past or move forward.

2/4 are great odds so far, we'll have fun pvping while the rest can make up excuses as to why they don't want to participate. Is there a correlation between high post count and pvp avoidance? /shrug

Why need 2 signups when everyone on red just boxes anyway?

If we can't get at least 8 signups by Friday we can always try again at a later date or when there's more organized PvP interest
