Default Open/Close bags sound.

Is there a way to delete this sound effect?

either through SoundAssets.txt file or otherwise?

you can find the .wav files and then replace it with a fart sound.wav file or whatever. Just name it the same as the original.

Yes you can edit the Soundassets.txt file and remove lines to delete sounds. The client will need to be restarted for changes to take effect if doing so while its open

Bag related sounds:

itemclth - opening/closing bags
chest_op - opening box
chest_cl - closing box
wearclth - moving items around in inventory

Heres some other ones to consider:

wolf_att - wolf attack bark
wolf_hit - wolf getting hit yelp
giantrun - giants stomping
giantwlk - giants stomping
werewidl - werewolf idle howl
wolf_idl - wolf idle howl
thunder1 - thunder
thunder2 - thunder
wind_lp1 - tunnel wind
wind_lp2 - wind loop
wind_lp3 - wind loop
wind_lp3 - wind loop
wind_lp4 - wind loop
wind_wh1 - wind loop
wind_wh2 - wind loop
wind_cave_lp - wind loop
wind_corr_lp - wind loop
wind_lite_lp - wind loop
wind_strong_lp - wind loop

Opening a bag is louder than a thousand volcanos erupting at the same time when the rest of the game is set at a usable level.

Most of the sounds are contained in the Snd##.pfs files and you need something like S3DSpy to open the containers to edit them.

This thread on thunder removal has a link to it:

I'm not familiar with which pfs file contains the bag sounds but they should be in one of them. I found editing the Soundassets.txt file a little easier

Anyone know the exact file/sound to get rid of for the insanely loud BOOOM sound(s) in Lavastorm?
