Photodynamic therapy may play a limited role in lung cancer treatment in very specific situations. Photodynamic therapy is a treatment that combines light energy with a cancer-killing drug that's activated by the light.

Photodynamic therapy may be an option if lung cancer grows into the airway, causing difficulty breathing, bleeding or persistent coughing. It might also be used to treat early-stage non-small cell lung cancers that are located in areas easily reached with the tools used during the treatment.

Photodynamic therapy begins with the injection of a light-sensitive medication into a vein. One to three days later, the doctor shines light of a certain wavelength onto the cancer from inside the body — typically using a thin, lighted tube called a bronchoscope, which is passed through the mouth into the lungs. The light destroys the cells that have absorbed the light-sensitive medication.

Photodynamic therapy isn't effective for cancers that have spread beyond the lung or that can't be reached with the bronchoscope.

After photodynamic therapy, your whole body is sensitive to light. Generally you need to avoid any exposure to bright light, including the sun, for several weeks after treatment

Did you read the article it was about patients taking horse deworming medicine and taking so much of the hospital from over dosing that gun victims were leaving.

The extreme right won’t take a vaccine but they will take a horse deworming drug all in the name of politics.

Ivermectin requires a prescription for human use in the US. But the right fanatics taking it and yes many of them Trump fanatics are turning to horse deworming for it. And they are getting very sick over it and taking up already stressed hospital support.

The irony is even if even remotely correct (and we heard the same claims in the anti-parasite medicine hydroxychloroquine) both ivermectin and the moderna/Pfizer vaccine disrupt RNA in the host cells.

UPDATE: Northeastern Hospital System Sequoyah issued a statement: Although Dr. Jason McElyea is not an employee of NHS Sequoyah, he is affiliated with a medical staffing group that provides coverage for our emergency room. With that said, Dr. McElyea has not worked at our Sallisaw location in over 2 months. NHS Sequoyah has not treated any patients due to complications related to taking ivermectin. This includes not treating any patients for ivermectin overdose. All patients who have visited our emergency room have received medical attention as appropriate. Our hospital has not had to turn away any patients seeking emergency care. We want to reassure our community that our staff is working hard to provide quality healthcare to all patients. We appreciate the opportunity to clarify this issue and as always, we value our community’s support.”

You'll eat the horse paste, and you'll damn well like it if you know what's good for you.
