Those numbers he listed include a large period of time before dragons were rooted. Without even counting it out, he looks like he's counting pretty much all of 2018 at least. Dragons were rooted, what, 2-3 months ago? I would be curious to see what the stats look like before dragons were rooted and post dragons being rooted. I never said rooted dragons would solve everything, but I would be willing to bet a larger portion of targets (not just NToV mobs) go to other guilds post-root than did pre-root. The time a guild is spending on one target is time they can't be spending on another target. It takes more time and effort to clear to and kill a rooted dragon than it does to pull to zone. It probably doesn't make much of a difference when the pops are very spread out but when pops are bunched up (and especially on quakes), while AM is clearing through trash in ToV is time where other guilds are able to get bosses they couldn't get if AM wasn't otherwise occupied. Obviously there are multiple factors at play - for example I would expect AM got fewer mobs when Awakened was still around giving them direct competition, and I would expect that similarly their portion of the pie will suffer now that Riot is going strong, but just off the top of my head I don't remember Kittens and Blood Guard getting the targets they've been getting recently back before the root patch hit. You may now return to calling eachother losers over your elf sim.

I was too lazy to check the DKP logs, but it "feels" like we're getting more dragons post-rooting on natural spawns, but fewer on quakes.
Everything used to die within 3 hours of a quake. Now it stays up for 10+ hours. | ||

But looking at the bigger picture, if AM is clearing to a ToV dragon and an unrooted target spawns - NToV or not (Dain, KT, Statue, WToV, etc) other guilds now have more of a chance to go for it than they would before. TL;DR: Trying to race AM for a rooted target is probably a bad strategy for most guilds, going for a different target while AM is busy on a rooted target is probably a good strategy for most guilds.

Then you will continue to fail on complicated engages with your guild. Because they are prioritizing the wrong things and so are you.
