Default Shaman FD ring

Hey, all you shammies out there with FD ring https://wiki.project1999.com/Vermilion_Sky_Ring question for you...

What areas, mobs, things does this open up for you?

Are you using it to get to fun hard to reach camps?

Looking for tips on how to best use.

Thanks!

It's more of an "oh shit" safety net than something that allows you to do stuff you couldn't before. it only has 2 charges so it's not like you can spam it.

There are a few things you can do with it. One example is getting down to Seb Juggernauts by yourself. You can basically use Divine Aura clickies to run down to the bottom of Seb, and then FD to lose agro. I am sure there are other areas where this could be used if you wanted to save some time.

It could also be used to FD pull certain mobs that are annoying to fight with their friends if you have a snare clickie like https://wiki.project1999.com/Ball_of_Burlap_Yarn .

I myself do not have one, so I couldn't go into detail as to exactly all of the camps it is useful for. The camps I frequent do not require it.

Theoretically you could bone walk (dog walk?) for ToV mini's etc.

Also great for argo drops, while slowing raid targets

You can keep a spare box of the void & batteries in your inventory to have 4 charges available before you need to go to PoS again to recharge your ring.

Please beware like regular FD you will sometimes fail to flop & fall to the ground with the ring.... fun times [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Like others said, most of the time I use mine when I've spammed Slow a few times too many and I need to lose aggro or die (ie Vaniki)

Yeah biggest thing is going for that slow just a bit too early, getting aggro on something that can 1-round you, and being able to live.
