Default Iksar and Rebby Rat Whiskers

I'm wondering if anyone else has tried to raise their Freeport Militia faction with the Rebby's Rat Whiskers quest. I've checked out a few faction guides and old posts on Alla and most say it only takes about 150 to 200 whiskers to reach dubious with the Militia faction. I've already turned in 360 to 380, I kinda lost count from the mind numbingly boring run from EFP to WFP and back.

Another odd thing is that a few people said how iksars were supposed to be dubious to Nestral, the dark elf rogue chick, but I started off ready to attack. After handing her so many whiskers, I'm now kindly to her.

Should I just give up and turn in some deathfist belts? What did all of you other iksars out there do?
