I need some help plz - spells are out of date?

I just installed the game and I can login just fine. When I get to the character selection page. Where your options are for character creation it get the following message.

your spells file is outdated
please visit project1999.org
and get the lastest files from
the getting started post

error codesp-1

That being said I dled it unzipped it and copied that into my folder and this same message occurs. What am I doing wrong here?

By "it" you mean you unzipped and copied the V36 patch? If so, then you're not doing anything wrong.

The server sometimes doesn't detect the file.
