Motivation killer
The boats...i'm not going to stare at my screen for 25+ minutes every time I need to cross the ocean. My brother, and both friends I convinced to start characters have both quit because the of always getting group invites that require waiting for the boat but never where they are. Personally...the fact that every time I wait on the boat I have a minimum wait of 20 minutes just kills me. Once out of 10 boat rides I have had a shorter than 20 minute wait, and i've missed the boat at least 5 times because I am not going to sit there looking at my screen for 25 minutes.

Then don't play on a classic server? I'm confused.

I love the boat. Me and my buddy were tired of Faydwer and set sale to the promising and dangerous Desert of Ro. The boat trip created a distinct sense of tension (sexual and otherwise).

Did you explain to your brother and the two friends that they should not accept group invites that involve 25 minute travel times or were you like oh yeah definitely accept those requests? I mean I guess it's the latter because you're also complaining.

Went LD while zoning in OoT on a boat. Laughed it off and decided to swim the whole thing for fun. Swim skill said thanks. I like the boats personally.

Smoke a bowl and max out Divination. Otherwise you can take the griffin to the next linear quest line.
