I am looking into the exact recipes required to craft the 'missing' pet levels, to make ensure both the research components and trivials are correct.
However, I am having trouble finding specifics on the following combines: Minor Conjuration: Earth 34 Minor Conjuration: Water 34 Lesser Conjuration: Air 39 Lesser Conjuration: Fire 39 Greater Conjuration: Earth 49 These are some tabs I have open: http://www.watson.org/~wander/eq/spells.html http://www.eqtraders.com/recipes/rec...r=080105000000 http://web.cecs.pdx.edu/~guardian/res-mag.html http://www.oocities.org/valmirvonreed/MageWord.htm https://web.archive.org/web/20010418...t=10&mode=list I see the wiki lists components for these pet levels, but no source as to where the entries came from. It looks like Mage research was... kinda fucked up, heh.
Here's a very old research guide I found on gameznet.com, it lists the following for mage recipes: Quote:
Compare the contents of Telryd's Expansive Writ to what Allakhazam has for it... it changed, probably around May when they were fixing research recipes. http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=10162 It's possible these recipes simply weren't in the game until they were fixed/spells put on vendors. None of my early mailing lists have any spell recipes for mages over level 29 either. | |||

It's not random information: there may not have ever been 34, 39, and 49 earth recipes in the game, because they quite possibly were just put on vendors instead of being implemented in research at all.
For the record I don't think completely breaking the class spell progression for two months is very fair, even though it's pretty classic. | ||

Dolalin, you are pretty good at this. I don’t know if you can find it but i eas reading one of the link you provided when your first adressed the situtiin of pets by magician. In one of the thread, there is someone talking about what his friend that is working worh verant as a developper told him about the reason why magician had no pets/research working.
If i remember correctly, he posted that after the fix just to explain. It’s not very solid evidence but it explined that game had been release with magician not finished. The 2 month delay before patch, we need to understand there wasnt guides to research back then, people probably tried tons of recipe until they figured or got told that it didnt exist. In the thread i mention it is said the fix never mentionned that it did not exists, they have tried to hide the fact. Anyway, i am hoping we can get to ply the magician class on a fresh server as intended before everyone gets to 50 and we miss out on some of the fun of early conquest. The merchant pet stayed because really the idea of strting all pets from the level 24 each time just is not viable. Thx all, let’s hope we can resolve the issue. Sorry for many spelling mistake not speaking english that well and i am atm on a very small phone.
