This caught my eye, currently both the Earth and Water pets kick. On Green
Air did not.
Fire did not and never has that I know of but I started live right after the May patch.

There's still some work to be done on this if you want to take up the baton.

The late January 2000 patch message that nerfed necro daggers talks about this I think. Correlate this with newsgroup searches to see if Mage pets were kicking.
