He was charming adds with me (my huge cha buff apparently helps their charms), and rather than me peeing my mana finishing charm pets, I’d just root it and he’d stack 3 dots on it. Them dots are pretty nasty

And of course that mana song is juicy. It’s a shame that songs don’t affect pets on p99, I coulda swore they did on live EQ
It honestly doesn't matter what they are capable of.

If it's me in your KC group you're getting 2 songs consistently with the appropriate instrument. I'll keep my epic buff up. You'll also get snare, charm, mez CC as needed.

If the group needs more than that, I am not in the group. If you want more than that, go fuck yourself.

I generally play mana song and just mez/charm adds. Basically I am playing a plate wearing chanter.

Wait till you hear the math behind why a bard is better in the tank group, instead of a full group of clerics on raids.

Thus far my only experience with bards has been to say:

“Ho-ly shit look at that giant blob of mobs. Is that every mob in this zone? Please don’t run that over me”

And thus far luckily none have

I love playing my bard but its really a pain in the ass to juggle instruments and constantly twisting songs, using /stopsong to grab that extra tick.

I am over here running myself ragged on the keyboard when someone else is just /afk, /pet attack /cast1 /afk

When I feel it, its really powerful and fun, but when I am not feeling it, I would rather just solo.

With a well rounded group with everyone 100% engaged it can be a BLAST
