Talking Bringing a full group into later levels

Hi all,

Played a good amount of P1999 pre-Kunark, played a good deal post-Kunark on Red, and now I'm coming back to Blue with a small crew that, when full, is 6 people.

So far, we're cruising around in the teens and we're loving the population. Coming from Red, it almost feels weird seeing so many people running around (without spewing bile and racial epithets at one another), but I've got a concern.

When we're grown up a little, in our 40s and beyond, how possible will it be for us to find a comfortable camp somewhere? Individually, the population means great things for going somewhere and finding a group, but are we just going to find ourselves traveling from dungeon and dungeon just waiting for a spot to open up completely if we show up as a FG?

Apologies if this question's been asked before -- searched without luck.

Thanks!

Go to zones off the standard P99 leveling path, you have a pre-made group you don't need to stick to the pick up group zones.

Yea there are places all over for you guys to group. Avoid City of Mist, Mistmoore, HHK, and KC on your way up and you shouldn't hit too many barriers. Even so, you could probably find open camps in all those zones as well if you choose.

Lake of Ill Omen sarknak fort is a great camp with millions of mobs, same for roaming Over There, you can make your own group in SolB pretty much whenever you like, same with SolA. Orcs in HHP are great and you can sell Idol drops for 500+pp each (they drop off like a level 19 or 20 mob). If you look at Kunark zones outside of KC you can basically have your pick of the liter at any of them and even so you can very easily claim a camp in KC im sure its just way way way more populated than say, Trakanons Teeth or Emerald Jungle. Hell fighting on the wall outside of KC is great XP in early 40s

There is no downside to having your own group, only upside

EQ is about the journey. It’s nice least for me to not care how quick I lvl. Means you don’t have to all flock to certain set of zones.

Hit level 50, and go to the hole to 60 with little competition except on bonus exp days.

You'll be fine. Plenty of places to go. What's your group composition like?

Just steer clear of the XP superhighway during prime times.

In your teens now? With all 6 of you, could venture to some of the "harder" dungeons and try Befallen, Najena, Splitpaw, etc.

Upper Guk is amazing if it isn't too camped...a much easier option than whats listed above.

Later on check out Droga (everyone will want Earring of Essence) / Kaesora (camp everyone's Howling Stones key piece while getting exp).

Can also chip away at the various levels of Tower of Frozen Shadow later on as well.

As others have said before just go to no standard zones and your golden (the hole) for 50+ comes to mind

Most people who want to group to level up follow a pretty narrow path on this server, most of the game is unused most of the time.
