Why is Splitpaw the mid-30's version? Is the 1st version available for servers? I like that one much better for a low-lvl standpoint. I don't think a lot of people went to it in OG EQ. It was kind of tough to get to, but was such a great adventure point for my guild. We heard word that there was a zone waaaaay out there. So we traveled a long distance from Faydwer and eventually got there. It was really fun to play. Anybody point me in the direction to get the file for that zone so I can play it on my own server?

2 things:

1st, There is no spawn data from the zone. So rebuilding it would be virtually impossible. I don't think there is even a mob list.

2nd, No one has the original zone. It doesn't exist that I'm aware of. If it did (in virtually any form) we'd have rebuilt it.

Sounds like the issue I ran into when I started it up, it's prolly a resolution issue.

Interesting, I didn't realize it was the revamped version.

Dunno, I was thinking he might be talking a server-side portion.

I still have an original EQ disc....
Still works too~! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

It's been so long since I recall the original splitpaw - wasn't it a 20's zone?

I really liked that zone. It was quite different, not symmetrical, lots of paths or ways to go, secret places, the split paw w/ a gnoll on each toe. Just really well done.

Yeah I believe. On the AX forums there is a post about it that somebody found a bunch of info in June 2010 from the waybackmachine.
