https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_Internet_theory

Quote:
The dead Internet theory is an online conspiracy theory that asserts that the Internet now consists mainly of bot activity and automatically generated content manipulated by algorithmic curation, marginalizing organic human activity to manipulate the population.[1][2][3][4][5] Proponents of the theory believe these bots were created intentionally to help manipulate algorithms and boost search results in order to manipulate consumers.[5][6] Some proponents of the theory accuse government agencies of using bots to manipulate public perception.[2][5] The date given for this "death" was generally around 2016 or 2017.[2][7][8]

I like to try to determine, using my brain and not a bunch of links generated by others' brains whether a user is a bot.

Sometimes its easy. Like if it sprouts gamingonline.com right off the bat with a sprinkling of wow, i really like <insert game name here> alot it helps me relax after a hard day at the dirt farm.
Also gamecoin.com relaxes me too! I am relaxed because I have limitless money to spend on hookers and blow.

Other ( lets call them Bio) Bots are more difficult to spot, they seem to be old hands at eq but only ever try to spout internet conspiracies about internet conspiracies conspiring against us.

Definitely, that's just a conspiracy theory people buy into.

Bots are definitely out there though with the upvotes/downvotes based on content (reddit/imgur/wherever).
