Default Hammered Golden Loop on Shaman?

Is all this HP and stam worth the big hit to AC? Especially when soloing stuff you have to face tank?

What are your thoughts.

If you are level 60 and have torpor and the ability to farm it I say yes. Torpor makes a fungi tunic pretty much irrelevant and so taking a -30 ac loss (assuming both ears since non lore) I would take the ac hit every day for another 200 hp to canni with.

For a SHAMAN specifically, it depends on what you are doing, and if you have Torpor.

Pre-Torpor, Max HP is great because you want as many opportunities to be under 100% HP as possible. More HP = More Regeneration = More Cannibalize. So The extra HP is probably worth the AC loss.

Post-Torpor, Max HP isn't very useful in Solo/Group situations. This is because Torpor and Slow will already keep your HP pool at safe levels MOST of the time. Max HP is still useful on the initial pull, before mobs are slowed, but it becomes useless when the mobs are under control. Here is a video of me doing Hechaeva, which is a long, solo fight: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uEgFcImQ9XU . As you can see, I am never really at Max HP, so it is quite usless. I am getting hit the entire fight, however, so my AC is giving me benefits throughout the fight.

I prefer AC over Max HP on my Torpor Shaman for Solo/Group situations, since that will benefit me throughout the entire fight, instead of just at the beginning. That makes the -30 AC on a pair of these earrings a deal breaker for me. If I want +10 MR, I can get https://wiki.project1999.com/Earring_of_Essence or https://wiki.project1999.com/Living_Thunder_Earring to do that, it only takes one slot, and I don't lose AC.

In raid situations, Max HP and Resistances are the best options for survival. Many raid mobs hit so hard, AC isn't going to be helping you that much.

In summary: I would say these earrings are great for Shamans Pre-Torpor, and they are great for Raiding Post-Torpor (except in situations where you need other resistances besides MR). They are not great for Solo/Group situations on Torpor Shamans.

An interesting point. The situational usefulness probably makes it worth farming since the camp isn't that hard to solo. I currently use an earring of essence in one ear but need a second earring. Any suggestions for one other than the hammered golden?

Yes, if you HAVE Torpor, and you plan on raiding, it isn't a bad idea to farm a pair for yourself. It never hurts to have more swap gear for raids[You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I am currently rocking https://wiki.project1999.com/Living_Thunder_Earring and https://wiki.project1999.com/Earring...e_Frozen_Skull for the AC and resistances.

Living Thunder earring is great all around. Enough AC to make up for no ac on your other earring, 10 MR, and see invis, which is super useful in group/raid situations. You don't need to waste a buff slot on see invis, or worry about it wearing off.

I like Earring of the Frozen skull for the resistances, decent AC, bonus mana, and ability for me to click it in emergencies. That is just my preference though, I know for raw stat purposes there are better earrings out there, like https://wiki.project1999.com/Sanctum...an%27s_Earring .

For cheap, easier to get earrings:

https://wiki.project1999.com/Earring_of_Cleansing
https://wiki.project1999.com/Earring_of_Purity
and
https://wiki.project1999.com/Pearly_Sarnak_Bauble (whichever one still drops)

This is for non-resistance earrings.

No Problem! Forgot about https://wiki.project1999.com/Ivandyr%27s_Hoop , which is good if you want a cheap earring with above average AC, and a good boost in mana.

That's the one you want. https://wiki.project1999.com/Sanctum...an%27s_Earring

It looks tedious, but if you buy a MQ it will cost you like 20k. Then like 90mins of skilling to get your Blacksmith to 160. Hardest part is to convince 2 groups of friends/guildies to come kill the the dragons. And lastly you hope you dont fail the last combine (should at 5% fail rate at 160 BS). But overall thats the best earring outside raids (if you dont call it a raid I suppose).

I've looked at this one. Maybe some day. I just hate leveling professions in this game to my very core. It is by far the most tedious and worst part of the game IMO.
