I liked F1 when the overtaking didn't mostly happen based on pit lane strategies (and when it wasn't behind a paywall on Sky Sports).

yeah i haven't watched a race in ages, i'm more looking forward to Honda becoming a manufacturer in NASCAR than holding out hope for F1

never had a problem with pit strategies though, even team orders. play to win

It's some bullshit sometimes. I always remember this incident where Michael Schumacher was going to finish 2nd behind his teammate and the Ferrari boss ordered the guy to let him go past at the last corner ^^

Sportsball is just a way to legalize betting and since many/most sports have a major sponsor of bet365/sports bet/ladbrokes it allows a way for the "video refs" to "have a bad day" and still get the result the major sponsor needs.
Half game bets. First goal. First penalty. All these things are riff for manipulation.

Sorry you finks sportsball is real.
