Starts slow but I liked it.

Ran like absolute horse shit at release so I returned it. Got it later for free and though it ran marginally better, it was mostly a snorefest. Couldn't bring myself to even finish the story.

Borderlands 2 was a goddamned masterpiece.

They lost their main writer who was also the voice of Scooter before the end of BL2, and it's just not the same.

BL3 feels like mostly meaningless quests for meaningless people to me for the few hours I played it.

i never bought/played B3. i bought Bl1 the week it was released and got BL2 pre-release.

There was some stink on the rose with how they did a host of things in the pre-sequel. it turns out the game designers had changed, but i had not.

TPS was a different developer studio. They're closed now IIRC.

For TPS, some of the new mechanics (oz butt slam) were interesting. Lazers were pretty meh. The story had flaws, but the entire thing had zero replayability.
