if you watch the Lynch version, here's what you'll find:

first 45 minutes are god-tier. incredibly accurate to book. amazing art.

as soon paul gets out into the desert, shit goes south. story totally dissolves. impossible to follow unless you know the narrative and can fill in the gaps.
