Exclamation does (real) swarm kiting work on green beta?

i haven't played a bard on p99 past level 12, but i remember reading in a few places that swarm kiting was broken somehow. like after a charm landed only one of the NPCs would attack the pet, with the rest still chasing after the bard.

was this ever fixed?

this thread is not about AE kiting.

I recall this this only really worked on giants and undead in classic. Maybe one or two other rare-ish enemies. Griffs maybe?

Mobs don't agro pets properly on p99. Wouldn't imagine they have it fixed for G99

That's silly. It should be any npcs with social agro.

Swarm kiting is a lot more fun and a lot less disruptive than AE kiting. Was part of what made bard class so unique and interesting [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

It was NPCs that always attack anyone near them, no matter if they were originally chasing someone else.

No, it was NPCs with social agro. Meaning the act of your pet hitting their friend is more agro than just running by them.

I have charm kited on red server. Bard name is Karaoke. Yes you can mess up the aggro and not have the group of mobs swarm onto your pet. It takes a few attempts and passes to figure it out, but I have had no issue. There are tips to it that I can share, but only really in game. Explanations through text without the visuals are hard to do.

Any other bards who charm kite can chime in. My experience is that nothing with charm kiting is broken.
