Didn't we discover later that the spikes were driven into the wrists because between those bones can support the weight of the body? I believe if they were in the hands, the skin in the hand would tear and the body would fall off the cross?

That is the truth yeah. Jesus died of suffocation and shear exhaustion after getting little air for 6 hours. The nails went into the wrists.

A lot of her choices I reconciled as due to ptsd from being molested as a kid. That last one of keeping Forrest’s kid away was the one decision that the movie didn’t provide a good ptsd explanation for. She seemed sober at the time she re-heard about Forrest, working at her job, seeming to be functioning well

So that decision I could not forgive. Forrest did, right away, which I guess is because he was so wholesome
