Role Play.
On sleeper wake, server resets. Giving players opposing a server reset to battle any guilds going for server reset.
Sounds like a decent concept that would make for some epic game play, high stakes.

I know blue and green have to have some BIS AFKers that would sure enjoy some drama and challenges and definitely have the guilds out there to make this an awesome experience.

we've tried this many times, blue players like being blue, they do not like pvp and are too scared of some one ganking them (although it rarely happens)

they enjoy slaying npcs all day, gaining pixels, then afking in ec tunnel all night, where there are actually other people to drool over said pixels

Server hosts were mentioning hardware costs the other day on another post, I wish they just did a hard reset on Blue with a chaotic PVP flag everyone and a sleeper wake/kill would restart blue entirely.

Not true. Lots of blue players played red and lots would come over for the fresh experience that they miss or missed on Green now. Theres a lot of new blood for a fresh red, so many years after launch.

If a 2.0 happens it has to let 1.0 live cause I’d hate to see this precious AoNs go to waste. It’s not even about playing the game it’s about hoarding items and talking to people.

Red 1.0 is kind of garbage, I would not expect the P99 staff to host it and would just leech players from 2. I think people will play regardless of item hording, and those that do item horde are 100% not going to quit if a reset happens as been proven time and time again with other server resets.

So live EQ is basically only going because the introduction of new TLP servers that people enjoy playing through whatever content they enjoy, I can see the same process for P99 servers.

Yeah. No one wants to join a deeply end game dead server, especially PVP.

Red 1.0 had players for 3 plus solid years with many fuckups.

P99 playerbase is bigger than it was then, and Red 2.0 has a chance at having less fuckups.

No reason not to do a new red. At the very least they can guinea pig fixes for "legacy items" for future blue 3.0 or whatever on red and then blame PVP players for things being a disaster or whatever.

Scapegoat role accepted just make red 2 plz
