Hi Everyone!
I wanted to share an update on Kingdom’s raid suspension, based on an appeal submitted. Overall, I don’t disagree with the sentiment that the petition was frivolous in nature. While it does sound like there has been a courtesy provided amongst guilds to vacate the path to Vulak once FTE was achieved, it’s not something that has ever been formalized into any sort of rule or UN agreement that I can locate. Given the current engagement strategies in place for these fights, I think it may be worthwhile for the UN guilds to work together on more formally defining an agreement on this topic. However, submitting a petition around a missed courtesy simply isn’t viable. Please note that I am not stating that pulling mobs on top of/in front of other guilds with the sole purpose of causing a disruption is acceptable. Regardless of the current raid agreements (or lack thereof), repeated and/or intentional examples of zone disruption are a violation of the PNP, which can cause account suspensions for the involved player(s) in addition to raid suspensions for the guild. However, just like we would not generally issue someone a PNP violation because of a single accidental train in KC (that would become our full time job!), we would not issue someone a PNP violation due to a single accidental infraction. Kingdom was very quick to jump to the conclusion that the monk in question was there with nefarious intent. There is no proof of that, nor has there been a pattern of this behavior established for this situation. All that being said, the staff response to this situation also had opportunities for improvement. The Kingdom team was given mixed messages around petitioning, from the same and different members of staff. Further, we had an opportunity to clarify the above lack of a policy/agreement, but instead of providing that context, we focused on trying to help resolve the conflict between the two guilds. Had we started by providing context around the current policies, I suspect this whole dialogue could have wound up resulting in a more constructive discussion around wanting to build out some sort of agreement for this scenario. I apologize for the inconsistency and the lack of clarity - this feedback has been discussed amongst the senior CSR staff to take as a learning for future situations. Based on the above, the raid suspension for Kingdom will not be removed, but will be reduced. The suspension will now end at 11:59 PM Eastern, Friday evening, 11/8. Medris | ||
