Default Zoning Crash

Okay, so, for months, no crashes... move to green, no crashes...

this past week... my client just freezes while zoning... have to alt crtl del to close it... happens about 25% of the time... really pissing me off,..

Using windows compat service pack 2
running as admin
windowed mode
in my ini, loadscreen needs to be what? loadscreen = 0 ?

Any other bs i can do to fix this? also, already uninstalled and fresh installed.

I'm getting this as well. I still play on both and it happens on both. I'm looking to see what I could do to fix it as well. If I'm full screen and it locks up I have to sign out as the cmd task is hidden behind the frozen eq screen. But yeah when in windowed mode I can end task and start again.

Use a free VPN and see if it helps.

Sometimes gateways between your modem and P99 have capacity issues and drop lots of packets. Doesn't affect most modern protocols because they expect packet loss or use TCP which auto corrects, but most of EQ uses UDP and also deals with packet loss pretty poorly.

VPN usually puts you on a different routing which can bypass the shitty gateway. Worth trying.
