The New World stress test was amazing IMO
John Smedley and a few others from Verant are on the Roster working on it. I really found it a step back into the old MMORPG style of games. Very refreshing. Dependencies on other Players, a Community philosophy. Although the Combat is pretty new it is amazing, and given that Amazon owns every server ever on planet earth the client to server connection was amazoning. I can't find it but I think some of the main guys behind the deep lore of EQ are also on that team. There is hope, at least for my type of consumer of these games.. As I know a lot of people where whining about it, as usual.. Just Meta Gamers consuming all the content they can quicker than their friends.. It was like watching the release of Rift all over again, people going from portal to portal brainlessly. They missed out on so much, so much hidden unique content and lore, a lot like Dark Souls/Everquest in that aspect. Kinda what Guild Wars 2 tried.. The PVP is on par with GW2, could use some work I am not interested much in that but there is Open World PVP which is suppose to be a huge proponent but you need that to create a good end game purpose, a lot like Dark Age of Camelot in that sense. Immersion, Graphics are astounding honestly. Hearing someone mining a thing of ore from on top of the mountain, hearing the echo.. The Tech is by far some of the best I have ever seen.. How it works so smooth is beyond my brain capacity. Now I am hyped again dammit. | ||
