Using lower level clerics in a pinch. POssible ?

I don't play a cleric but my guild is currently short on high level clerics most days. if we have a 40-45 cleric instead of a 60 cleric, other than Aego and mana pool and static agro range, any reason we couldn't use him for noobish raids (think level 60 tank vs mid forties to low fifties trash mobs.

Someone mentioned if you are a lower level cleric you are more likely to peel agro off your tanks then a 60 would, is that true? Any other concerns we can try to plan around?

Should just be the aggro range, mana pool and resists (if he's in range of aoe). I've never heard of a spell causing more aggro based on your level...

You can use a low level Cleric but there are indeed some factors you should account for in your planning:

A.) You have to be level 46 or better to zone into the planes.

B.) A low 40's Cleric won't have 90% rez or his epic click available. If you have a 59/60 Paladin available you can use him to rez instead. Otherwise you want to check whether your puller(s) want to potentially have to accept multiple 50% rezzes per raid.

C.) Weaker buffs will lower the expected lifespan of your crowd controllers in the event of a bad pull.

I was assuming they'd have a higher level cleric, and use lower level ones as needed in the CH rotation.

If not, then buffs and rezzes are going to be a big factor for the raid.
