Items on the ground are FFA....read the rules. A dropped item is considered discarded. So regardless of who picked them up, that person did nothing wrong.

Yes, the person would not get in trouble, but perhaps they would be publicly shamed and/or argue with OP.

I'm beginning to think the OP didn't even have any gloves to begin with. He saw an innocent bystander wearing a pair and thought he'd create some story and drama so people would feel sorry for him and offer him free gear.

I've successfully ground transfered at least 100 times. One time my secret hideout location was discovered by the shifty rogue Stikkerz, prompting me to find an even more secluded and unused location. Stikkerz you keen-eyed sneaky villain! *shakes fist*

Admins should have the means to solve this shouldn't they?

If Cained has these gloves can't they track where the gloves came from?

If OP ever had the gloves they should be able to track that as well.

They should be able to track any conversation between these two and note if there was funny business.

Am I mistaken that they don't have this capability?

Whether or not it's their policy to investigate this would be another matter but I was under the impression they have the tools to figure this one out if they want to spend the time and energy on it.

Someone caught me doing an expensive ground transfer last week too. He gave me the item back though.

Looks like everybody is doing this still lol.

OP is definitely right to be skeptical of cained. There's strong circumstantial evidence there. I think cained is innocent but I have a small amount of skepticism too. And I would of had even more without Cained posting those logs.

I was on OP's side until I saw that he did this in the middle of the EC Tunnel. At that point you deserve to have someone take your stuff.

What if OP was actually in Cained's group but lost the roll on the gloves and got angry?
