Guilt-addled suicidal people usually don't exhibit bravado or bluster, but honestly I thought the same thing.

Rosenbaum seemed legitimately crazy though, I'm not convinced he even knew what year it currently is, let alone what BLM is. Still, he illegally attacked kyle and got shot. So did the other two dudes, but I'm less sympathetic to them. They knew exactly what they were doing.
