Packing the courts is a terrible idea
I like when John Adams the federalist knocked it down to 5.

They'd have to fire them, and at least 2 judges to do that to make it fair so my point is mute. But personally I really dont see adding 2 new judges as a bad thing (to maintain the odd number, since instead of putting federalists up there both sides are putting party ideologists now).

What's the difference between 11 judges and 9? I guess if you think trumps pics were federalists and the democrat pics would be draconian marxists that makes sense that you'd be against it.

But in the case that there were 11 federalists or 9, what would be the difference?

Once you start throwing away the norms, slippery slope

Trump started it, that’s not an excuse to accelerate the delegitimization of our institutions. Also, Roberts and Gorsuch have already proven they’re not conservative votes on every issue. Wait and see

There Will Be No Trump Coup

Our weak, ranting, infected-by-Covid chief executive is not plotting a coup, because a term like “plotting” implies capabilities that he conspicuously lacks.

Serious question tho, why is 11 judges instead of 9 bad or different? I mean as far as I know Theodore Roosevelt started it. So I don’t see it as like a slimy tactic... especially when the goal is to balance the two political parties ideology and the Supreme Court, is that not a good thing?

Because the holy bible and the norms of this country matter. Challenge either and I will show you how dad did it, and how America does it

I’m confused. How did your dad influence the courts in America?

Some would argue the bible says to be socialist. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

edit: But still I don't know why 11 is bad but 9 is good, anyone? Or does everyone know this is a red herring but we still argue about it anyway? That would make the most sense lol

The burden of that argument isn’t why it’s bad, it’s why it’s good. It’s an obvious move to pack the courts with legislate from the bench liberal judges. The Right does not legislate from the bench the same way the left does. The left sees the SCOTUS, as another branch to legislate from. The right sees it as a way to protect the tenants of the constitution. The left wants to turn this country into another dump like Europe and doesn’t understand the beauty that is the freedom loving American Dream.

PS: RBG was a mediocre judge and the left pretending like she was special proves my points.
