Game Mechanics: mob hit range changed?

I being kiting dervs in SRo for a while and I have being comfortable with their hit range. Today it seem to have changed. I'm getting backstabed kiting them out of the blue. the range seems have changed? I being dead 4 times and its starting to piss me off...

or did my hit box changed size for some reason?

I doubt anything related to hitbox size was changed without a patch.

One thing to consider - and it's rather hard to explain - but mobs can hit you from further away if your back is pointed directly toward them. It's as though our hitbox is a circle with a line segment coming out of the back of it.

I am aware of that. I have been doing the same diagnol circle strafe for 3 days now, running the same path, but yesterday I've been dying like crazy from out of nowhere backstabs.
