Paladin solo spots-with grouping potential
So the newest member of my alt army is a dwarf paladin. I have him decked out in dwarf cultural armor and wielding a ghoulbane and shield or argent defender. In leveling him I grew tired of sitting in Unrest lfg with 10 other paladins, sks or warriors competing for tank spots in the 3 main camps and hunting in Dagnor's in between lfg in the dungeon.
I moved over to Antonica and have been having fun in Najena, I have the whole zone to myself and there is enough undead to keep me leveling up to 25 now. Main problem is I do plenty of DPS to undead but the other fights such as tentacle terrors, ogres, magicians, goblins etc. take me forever to kill. I was looking for some viable camps as I outgrow Najena, where there is sufficient room for a pally to solo but will also find some occasional groups to join. Is TOFS a good option to fight undead, any other options out there other than the usual unrest, MM, CoM, KC route? also recommendations for a non undead dps weapon for a pally like Venomous axe?

Ghoulbane is trash after 30. And pallies aren’t as good against undead 30+ as everyone thinks. Until you maybe get a dawncaller from tov.
My advice. Get a reaver. Can stick to guks/sol a until 50. Highkeep after for continuous zem xp. If you want a 1h, try to get a rotting sword of blessing in velks.

Ghoulbane was fun to play with at low levels but as was stated above it’s actually not good dps as you put on much in the way of levels.
https://wiki.project1999.com/Sword_of_the_Morning 16/27 ratio puts up much better numbers. Paladins really aren’t the undead specialists many people think. Undead nukes help in the unrest level range but not immensely so. Slay undead from Luclin and onward changed things a lot.

Thanks for the advice!!
I will definitely grab a sword of the morning, any 2hs worth getting or just keep skill up but go sword and board. Guktop will be fun to revisit, can pally's do orcs in CC solo at around 30? TOFS worth visiting or stick with non luclin zones while leveling?

I dinged 40 in unrest Hag Tower and some basement.
Also a slow 2h would be ideal even for undead. I switched between a SoTM and a Baton of Faith in Unrest. Found it way easier to cast stun and nukes between swings with the 2h. An Iceflame is another great weapon, about 700p.

Upper Guk at 25 near lower zone line is pretty good at 25 very nice ZEM. You either need ring of shadows or to fight your way back but going to the live side zone in Upper Guk was usually less crowded than near the dead zone line with a decent amount of mobs.
I would also recommend Sol A Goblins. Another zone with great ZEM with active groups but also mobs to solo while LFG. Did quite a few levels here. Unrest also has a great ZEM but not a vey big zone and if you can’t find a group I don’t think there is much to do. I did try ToFS at 30 and didn’t really like it. Don’t think I ever got a pickup group and only rarely found someone to duo with on the first floor. Also annoying the Boss/Key mob can pop from anything you kill and is lvl 34 I think. Annoying to have to zone him if you are solo. Also, quite a few pulls you’ll need to pull which if they go bad cost a lot of mana or you have to zone.

Yep can agree this is 100% true, ghoulbane is trash after 30 for soloing - and unless you have a bucketload of $ those nice raitio velious weapons or a baton of faith can take you from 30-60. L guk is a bread and butter Paladin zone.I would venture to stay Unrest 20-40, lguk 40-51/52 in for a solo Paladin.
