Right says all evidence seems to point towards leaders "marketting" solutions that are actually exacerbating things (often intentionally), get out of our pocket and close the gates till we actually see some improvement to the causal effects. And im not talking about party leaders, im talking about ordinary folk that just wanna live their lives without corporate and government overstep. Fuck the dog n pony show over in dc. Their shit is way overplayed at this point, and they are wayyyyy too present in our everyday lives with the nonstop media circus this past decade and counting. . Politics wasnt some obnoxious 24/7 grandstanding faggotry 20 years ago. Elections came about every 2 years, people studied to the extent that they wanted to, cast their ballot, and life moved on. Todays bullshit is an entirety different matter. The government + media cabal overstepped some serious boundaries in prudence some time ago. They do not deserve this much of our mindspace with one political stunt after another, and every tv show (not even including the news) heavily laced with political undertones and sardonic political humor.

Hate to be a dick here but the government didn't chose where you work or where you live. As an aside rant, i agree driving in America is fucked. I recently completed a 5 year contract out in Japan, and one of things i talk about when people ask me what i miss the most i say the robust public transit system. That and their magical toilets, ahhhhhh, but i digress. I've traveled pretty extensively worldwide, including some "shit holes", and almost all of them have better public transportation than us. But for some reason when i advocate for more public transportation here i get called a dirty socialist. Additionally, i assure that I also do not receive any tax write offs from my commute. And i drive roughly 200 miles a week to work. I'm not sure why this is the democrats fault? Are there republicans out there somewhere that are advocating for tax breaks on commutes? Are republicans trying to fix any of the problems you mentioned above? Hell, are any politicians? Please do tell. Quote:
I won't dispute that Trump won the election, we can discuss the merits of the electoral college later, but to say the majority of americans voted for this wall is untrue. Ya know what though i'd be for a public vote for the wall. Lets have a referendum! anyways, night night.

Its not a matter of majority rules. How did mob rule work out for France after the revolution? Obviously, ENOUGH Americans consider unfettered illegal immigration to be a problem or we wouldnt be having this discusssion.

This all could be solved if we set aside our differences and found ways to accommodate each other rather than point fingers. Or try to shame the other guy.
This is generally why I am personally so anti government ironically. Because in all my life I have only been able to temporarily coerce or force compliance between two individuals, let alone two groups. I don't think force will work in achieving results, nor will extortion. This all may feel good, at the end of the day we are left with a major systemic problem with immigration enforcement and no government. The correct solution isn't going to be implemented by fighting with your political opponents until we get a reasonable group of leaders to represent us.

Yep. Thats why i said, if every attempt to bridge the chasm is met with slapping the others hand away and spouting off some divisive polemic bullshit then expect this shutdown to go on indefinitely.
