Default Druids....How do you exp?

My Druid just isn't clicking for me.

Part of the reason is I'm only level 15.

Part of the reason is I'm trying to solo.

I hear people and guides saying "Oh man, once you hit 14, go to East Karana and charm kite everything!".

No.

Not possible.

Most of the nearby wolves are yellow and red at 14.

You have an occasional blue. So you charm him and search for something to kill.

Maybe find a random green con? Send pet to attack. Pet kills green mob in two hits, charm breaks, and your ex-buddy chases you.

Spend 100% of mana nuking the mob down.

Med at bridge.

Repeat.

What gives?

Should I group until 20 or something?

My druid was my first toon to 60.. So things are a bit blurry going back that far.. I remember definitely always trying to be in a group on my druid. At all times.. After a while i grew into my druid shoes.. But it was passed where you're at now. I remember being in crush bone, and i remember spending a lot of time in Unrest at the fireplace. But man what did i do between those 2 zones....

What's your role in group?

I understand healing, but other than that?

DS tank, and DPS with dots or nuke?

Low level druids can Heal easily, But anything past CoM and it becomes difficult for them to keep up unless the tank is overly beefy (which happens quite often on p99)

Some levels can be difficult just do what you can root rotting until you find some appropriate blue con animals to charm kite

Class gets stupid easy at 34 if you want to level up while afk 90% of the time watching netflix, Harmony, Ensnare, Lightning strike pretty much the only 3 spells you'll need

Gets even easier at 46 if you have a lummi staff

at 54 quadding wyverns in CS becomes bad exp and need to switch to otters or suits in WL

Can also do bear pits for better exp, just higher risk and possibility of a rez very low (aint nobody got time to rez ppl in permafrost!) Unless maybe you are in a guild with vox alt clerics with epic or know somebody with a Vox Cleric with epic =p

If you are one of the few lucky ones and can complete Druid epic prior to 60 (druid epic isn't too difficult and not very expensive compared to others) then congratz you can kill anything that doesn't summon for basically no mana at all just takes a long time, Root rot several at a time =p

(The biggest skip is to get a Velious bracer *Drones of doom* on a low level druid and just kill things with the bracer until mid 20s early 30s)

imo charming animals till 46 is the fastest method for a solo druid. Then at 46 switch to a lumi staff and quad into your 50s+

Get to lvl 19 and then retry EK till 22-23 on wolves iirc. I started them at 17 with minimal gear, but it wasn't smooth till 19+. I did mostly XP off the lioness and other blue cons (though few) to get to 17 and do wolves.

Usually you're stuck as healer if you're accepted to a group. Which is fine, I never minded it. The best groups are the ones that have everything it needs and brought you on just as support. Then you get to have fun.. CC's, back up heals, debuffing that AC on mobs, ds, nukes.. Anything u want! Whatever makes life for the group easier!

But mostly you'll be healing! Haha i always feel worthless when my druid would get invited to a group for evac reasons.

Charm low blues and high greens. At your level, start with snakes. Be sure to make crude innuendos about petting your snake for more exp.

Also, never use dots in a group. It's horribly inefficient.

Youre doing it wrong in ek

Pull a blue animal to the guard. Wait for it to get down to 20-30% hp. charm it and pull it away from guard. Break charm with hide/invis ring/invis spell and kill it off for full xp

It was at this point I decided to no longer be kind to the casuals as they have extreme short term memory. They did this to themselves, unfortunately.
