Default I keep getting kicked out of full screen mode

Everytime I click on something the screen minimizes to desktop. It doesnt crash, it just drops into windowed mode and shows the desktop. Anyone know what could be causing this?

I did set the shortcut icon to start maximized as it was set to windowed but that didn't help. It even does it while I'm at character select. Even if I alt + tab to make it full screen again it will go back to windowed mode as soon as I click on something. Any suggestions would be awesome.

EQ is an old game designed for old systems, and old systems were designed to handle such games (eg. by playing them in full screen mode properly) ... but modern systems aren't.

Fortunately, there's an easy workaround: "Full-Screen Windowed" Mode.

I use a program called Borderless Gaming. It's been real handy.

Thanks for the replies. I was able to fix it oddly enough by enabling admin rights. I thought I had done it before but I guess not.
