Default Evil OT hammers, Good FV nothing!

Why didn't good races get a hammer for FV? Damn Verant what were you thinking?

Yeah let's all just solo CT for puppet strings!

So it really pays to be evil in EQ. Oh, I get it, FV is closer to the DL ring/spire combo!

Of course, how could I be so stupid! Well, perhaps I'm not so dumb having ran the across DL 1000 times now getting to FV. So if I want to get to FV from the depths of seb or inside ToV I just walk there instead of hammering to HH.

Bah Humbug!

I wish Int / wis and all stats mattered for all classes. INT on a warrior can help you increase damage/crit chance in the fight (learning where critical organs are, anatomy, etc). WIS can help increase discipline duration, and CHA the key attribute to generate procs (forming an affinity with your weapon is total lore)

Verant missed the boat here

The cerebral stats could also help you resist mind control spells (I’m sure I’ve read that was the intention early on but it never got implemented?)

Besides that, personally I like that as my characters gear up they become smarter, stronger, wiser, more charasmatic as they become more experienced, powerful and famous. Even if those stats don’t matter it makes sense to me that my character becomes better at those things than a naked level 1 scrub straight out of the slums.

Back when the game was being designed and then released, society was a lot different than it is today. Back then people shied away from playing the "evil" races. Lots of "family guilds" really would prefer you just play a human necro, etc. So the hammer to OT was seen as a kind of "compensation prize" for everyone shunning evil races, just like they did in rl.

But today, everyone thinks being evil is "cool." Especially all those entitled college girls.

The thing that gets me, here I am, the supreme dark elf, and my virtues go unnoticed by all the stuck up good races.

I did eventually find a good guild but I had to train the fuck out of karnor's for like a week to get the attention of an officer. Now, no one cares. But they used to, is my point.

Seriously. Not kidding this time. Scout's honor. Brownie oath.

you need amiable for the quest and most evils start out apprehensive or indifferent so you still need to grind. not that big of a boost honestly.

thank rog for keeping the servers up as long as they have for an industrialized server where you can have whatever you want whenever you want
