Default Level 3 Barbarian Shaman...help getting back to Everfrost/Halas...

Hey all, I just started playing project 1999 again and my old character had been teleported as a newb to Freeport and bound....
I was given 100g and sent on my way...I just realized I don't know how to get back to purchase my spells.
Is there any other vendors that carry them for barb shamans other than Halas?
From what I can tell, it's pretty much impossible to make the land run....

It's impossible at level 3, that's for sure. What you need to do is run out to the Druid Rings in West Commons. There is definitely stuff that can kill you along the way, but if you're careful and con things from a distance you should be able to make it there safely. Alternatively you can try to find a porter in East Commons (sometimes they hang out there) or even in Freeport itself (if you're super lucky); if you do skip the next paragraph.

Once you have reached the rings look for a druid, very politely explain the situation to them (you're level 3, you have no plat, but your spells are in Halas), and ask them for a port. If the first one says no, try the next, and eventually you'll find one. You can also try /who all dial to find members of the guild Dial a Port, and ask them via /tell (even if they are in a far off zone they can teleport to the druid rings easily). Wizards can also port, but they can't SoW, so if you can't find a Druid be sure to at least get SoW from a passing Shaman before getting teleported by a Wizard.

Once you've found a porter ask them to port you to North Karana, and once you get there ask them for Invis (and SoW if you don't have it yet). If they seem really nice and are high level you can also ask them to come with you to West Karana and Succor you across it, but that's sort of a pain and they're already doing you a favor by porting you so I wouldn't expect it.

Most likely you'll have to do the run yourself, from North Karana => West Karana => Qeynos Hills => Blackburrow => Evefrost => Home sweet home. With SoW you should be able to get through most of it with the invis up, keeping you relatively safe. Alternatively you could instead get a port to Toxxulia forest, then go Erudin => Erud's Crossing => Qenos => Qeynos Hills (and then the same as above). It will probably take you a little longer, but you won't have to run through North/West Karana, which have plenty of things that can kill a level 3 if their invis fades.

Good luck.

Thank you! I might just re-roll a new toon, I'm only level 3 and aside from some backpacks and about 60g, I won't be losing much lol

Use the Wiki for zone maps to help you navigate the zone.

http://wiki.project1999.com/Zones

/loc is your friend if you get lost in a zone to get your coordinates.

You are going to need to get SOW so you can run fast, an invis if you can get it then and a port to West Karana (WK) from a Wizard or a port to North Karana (NK) from a Druid.

From WK, Then run to Qeynos Hills (QH), Black Burrow (BB) and then Everfrost to Halas

From NK, run to WK, QH, BB, then Evenfrost to Halas.

It is a long run and dangerous road to run as a level 3, I would just stay and in the Freeport Area and level up to level 5 - 7 before attempting.

Remember once you get back to Halas/Everfrost, you might want to see if someone is there that can bind you. That way if you die, you are not in Freeport again....... that would suck.

Grey, send me a tell on Cykle in game.
I'll arrange some assistance for you to get it sorted, that way you're all set up in game.

Thanks!

The run can be a bit treacherous, and I'd rather you not get lost/killed and cycle back to FP when I can just give you a few minutes ;-)

If you don't get back to Halas today, I can take you back on my druid tomorrow. What's your characters name?

One more suggestion if all else fails..
Find a ogre or troll and have them buy your shaman spells from their racially respected places.
grobb/oggok or where ever.

Find a 57-60 wizard that looks bored (hanging around in the commons perhaps).

Explain your predicament, and say the forums advised you to get a 'double evac' thru West Karana, an escort through qhills/blackburrow and an evac through everfrost to halas and finally, once done, a translocate or port back to east Antonica.

Edit: Did you remember to bind after you relocated? if not just bank all your gear and suicide back to your bind spot in everfrost and get your spells there.
