Default Paladin / Shaman / Druid / Cleric Bind Wound skill should be 210 cap (bind up to 70%)

Came across this in the patch notes and began to look into it...

2/21/2001 Patch Note:
Quote:
Raised the pre and post 50 bind wounds cap for paladins, clerics, druids, and shaman
Found some additional confirmation that they can bind up to 70% after this patch:

Paladin Confirmation:
Quote:
My Paladin can now Bind Wound to 70%, as of level 51.
Up until then, his max Bind Wound cap was 200, which
limited the max to 50%. At 51, he was able to raise
the skill to 201, at which point it became possible to
B.W. to 70%.
Thread has an additional confirmation for clerics:
Quote:
Clerics and paladins can do it as well.
A message from Absor here on the subject of upcoming BW changes mentioning priests can BW up to 70%:
Quote:
Bind Wounds: Skill cap pre-50 for Warriors and Rogues was 100. We are likely to be moving this to 175, with a max skill of 210. This would mean a 70%
binding well before 60th level. We're also adjusting other classes caps
higher as well, but in reality, only Monks, Warriors and Rogues used Bind
Wounds with any frequency, and only Pure Melee and Priests will be able to
bind to 70% of maximum hit points.
Note that the quote was before the patch note by about 2 weeks, it looks like they decided to add paladins in the mix as well (confirmed in first newsgroup link and official patch note).

Some additional comments from Allakhazam's here:

Brendil on CT seems to have capped at 210 as a level 60 druid. Went thru 15 stacks without another up and has wisdom maxxed. So I would say post-51, it's going to be 210 for non-monks, at least for druids.

Hello All,
I know most sites post the cap for shaman bind wounds at 200, well mine is at 208, wondering if anyone knew the actual skill cap?
Shows confirmation that the casters realm skill links page is indeed wrong and was not updated after the patch properly.

Seems pretty concrete that this was a thing, not sure how useful it will actually be to those classes, but maybe can be useful as in-combat bind wounding?

Wholesome work, Rygar!

My druid friend is always mad he can't raise bind wound above 200 on this emu, he is going to be so delighted.

Apparently, as a halfling, it is good being able to self heal without breaking hide.

Friendly bump. Any additional research needed to implement? There was mention of warrior / rogue pre-50 cap being 100 skill level and probably moving to 175 in this update (pre-50). Do you need confirmation on any details like that?

I'm assuming the bind wound formulas for obtaining skill ups are the same across classes (maybe monks level it faster?).

Let me know if you want any assistance looking into other details so it can all be fixed at once for Bind Wound caps across all classes.

I can confirm p99 had a 100 cap till level 50, which later has been changed to a higher number (jimjam struggled with the old cap but Hatespawn benefitted from the revamped caps).

Interesting. Are you able to bind wound to 70% of your hit points?

If so then just a display error / limitation per Rogean and you should be good. Any clerics / druids / paladins able to do this?

I'll get right on it - I think my skill is at 100 already so shouldn't take too long to confirm. Time to drown away some hitpoints!

My cleric shows a red 200 but has been increasing the skill and can bind up to 70%:

You have become better at Bind Wound! (208)

You cannot bind wounds above 70% hitpoints.

I raised some of these a while ago but because of the display issue I didn’t update the thread at the time. The rest of the caps will be raised next patch.

[Feb2001] Raised bind wound skill caps for Paladins, Rogues, and pre-level 50 Warriors
[Feb2001] Raised the post-level 50 bind wound skill caps for Druids, Shamans, and Clerics.
