NPC Spawn Issue: Vorshar the Despised

Vorshar the Despised was an original content mob that was located in neriak and was there for gm tokens to be turned in at. He is not on p99 or p99 red but should be.

This creature does not exist on P99 and should.

He was added as part of a temporary quest in October 2001, but remained on the server for quite a few years after this. For example he was on Al'Kabor before it came down.

He should drop 2 loots every kill, flee, be high resistance, and be Snare immune. I've heard rumors on Al'Kabor he was a 2 hour respawn but haven't seen any evidence of this.

Hes not 32-35, coned him today (im a 37 shaman) and he coned red, FYI.

On difficulty:

vorash is yellow to me and i'm 60. he doesnt enrage or flurry. he can be done witha 60 war and a 60 cleric now adays because of Alt exp points.... he is no slouch but hardly worth killing...

On 2-drops per kill:

Dropped Azibelle's Scarf of the Night along with Al Kabor's Impenetrable Mask for me tonight, attacked him not expecting him to be hit, but he hit back, killed him not expecting loot, but lo and behold, decent twink gear that is easy to get.

He dropped Dabner's Belt of Insight and Al`Kabor's Ring of True Sight tonight.

Edit: Oh, and no faction hit for killing him. Also, he moves quite quickly. After he started fleeing at 20%, his walk speed was as fast as normal running. This made it very difficult to keep up with him in the narrow paths of Neriak.

He dropped Ognit's Aqua Collar and Dabner's Traveling Cloak tonight.

Alright, a bit more information. I've killed him four times now, and he appears to be on a three day spawn timer. He has dropped two items, one Dabner's and one of something else all four times. In addition to Ognit's Cape of Salesmanship, which is already listed here, he has dropped Dabner's Stud of Introspection, Dabner's Amulet of Elements, and Zavo's Stud of Mortality.

I can see either doing the 3-day verified spawn timer from Live or just saying it's some of the final new content P99 will see so throw a 2-hour unverified AK timer just so people can experience it without poopsocking. No clue what's classic on the respawn end.

There's more, but I'm on my phone right now and copy/paste is quite a chore. I know it was eventually found out that it a was GM reward quest, but I had never heard of them being killed or dropping anything, but I had also never heard of killing Bro Z/Q before either until way after they were implemented too. The one you listed is the only one that has comments regarding them dropping items that I looked at.

The comments from the drops off this mob appear to be out of era significantly (2007 and later).

I don't doubt he was added in, but it seems the other comments and clicking on the items themselves seem to suggest the rewards were from some sort of Firionia Vie GM event in Burning Woods or Skyfire or something I read from one of the links. Others seemed to suggest the mob was a quest NPC that you handed coins to from GM events to receive rewards.

Saw nothing in era of him dropping those loots. Of course it could be possible no one successfully killed him as he seemed to be very beastly, but I don't think he should be added in with those items.

Would be cool if those city NPCs are added and just reward some items from coins acquired during GM events or perhaps rare random ground spawns in world (one post mentioned someone picked up a coin from the ground to give this guy).

Coins could make it easier for GMs to distribute items to people during GM events or make them a rare ground spawns elsewhere in world.

Can mention he was a 2 hour spawn at least in 2002. Killed him multiple times a day for probably a year.

Hit for 200s or such. Non-social, spawns in the bar, but will run at 20% through the tunnel if you engage in the bar. Pretty MR, but touch of innoruuk (-500 mr) landed 100% of the time and touch of volatis (-200 mr) was hit or miss. Duoable at 60 in SoL, soloable in PoP.

One of the mobs on the dock near him is on a similar faction. You can dazzle it next to Vorshar to prevent the flee.

He dropped these items on Al'Kabor which had a 2002 code break cut off. I find it hard to believe they saw fit to add the mob in 2001, then not put items on him until 2002 unless there is some evidence suggesting this delay.

These items are not overpowering at all.

Meaning CLR/DRU/SHM can click it from inventory. Others can't use.

Based on the item histories of the loot this guy drops they were rewards given out as early as mid 2001 for completing GM events. For example http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/i...00438967015940

Now the question is did he drop that loot from from the start? Can't find much either way on that.
