Default Upper 50's quadding options

My druid is currently 57. Had leveled in the bear pits since 52, but recently a lot of my game time is broken up by constant afks which makes it difficult to hold down a camp. I checked CS wyverns, but they have greened out. Are there any passable spots to quad where mobs stay blue till 60? Non-optimal xp is ok too. On the days where I have to afk a lot, some xp is better than no xp. Bonus points for places where I don't have to fight for spawns.

Sentinel suits in WL stay full blue until 58. At 58 they turn about 25% light blue. At 59 more than half will be light blue.

If you don't have a lumi staff and aren't evocation spec you need to make sure you've got a mana pool ready of about 2500-2600. Otherwise you might have to resort to sitting for Med ticks while kiting. The 58 quad spell makes life significantly more relaxed - 7 nukes for a quick kite.

If suits are camped you can do the 3 giant escorts while you wait but they have a lot more hp (7500+ I think). Lumi staff is a must unless you want to life for 10 minutes or more popping Med ticks.

Oh right, I totally forgot about suits. Now that I'm thinking about WL, I wonder if geonids are good as well....or maybe there are too many shamans in the mix, or too many hp (6500, compared to armors with 4750)

Ahh! I found a guide for this exact subject. It's here if anyone else needs ideas as well. I have no further questions. Thanks for the response Troxx. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Othmir in CS can be quadded to 60, and pulling them pretty much requires harmony so it's 99% a druid only thing to kill them.

Can make decent platinum off of them as well they sometimes drop gems, crustacean armor, and Othmir pelts always sell to tailors

Their health is similar to suits make sure you have a decent Mana pool or lummi and most importantly dont mess up your harmony and make sure you get the shamans and chiefs harmonied before you pull the warriors

And for those concerned about faction it can be fixed by killing walruses in EW although other than the turn in for the othmir prexus totem (which you can just do on an alt and then trade it) and using the otter vendor there is no reason to

I find that guide completely wrong saying otters will always be camped... Suits is Always camped otters I see up all the time

Yeah, i don't care about the vendor access. A vendor is always a port away as a druid. I often play late night/early morning NA time, so most camps are usually open for me anyway even if the guide was correct in that regard. As for camp ideas though, it's useful I think.

Fox is spot on here. I'm also 57, and though I level very slowly, I can attest to at least one Othmir camp being open 100% of the time I'm in CS. Most of the time it's just one other druid if I ever see anyone else there, so its usually pretty easy to work out an arrangement for 2 people to quad without interfering with each other. Keep in mind wolf form will make you KOS.

That quad kiting guide is pretty good too. Between suits, goos, geos, wyverns and drakes, and othmir, there's always something to quad. Personally, I have to jump around spots to keep things fresh. 10+ quads in one area and I'm already antsy to move or be social and start porting people, which is probably why I'm still 57, but whatever.

Quad kiting is super efficient if you plan on taking breaks between kites.

Othmirs.. The easy answer to this question.. This is spot on.. Get your potg and clarity and run all 3 othmir camps! Harmony the othmirs with fancy hats and shamans, and pull the warriors.. I'm basically in a cycle here with my druid.. Stay up in PoM for cards. I die a lot up there and i dont wait for rezzes, so when exp is getting low, i switch to othmirs. Exp back up to full, sell my armor, gems, and furs. And before i know it i'll be richer, and back up in PoM!

@Tethler glad you found my old guide, Hope it helped ya some [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

@Foxplay I'm pretty sure the 100% thing is a typo. I looked at my old notes and i had 10% written down for % of times it will be camped. if anybody can edit the wiki feel free to change that [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] I hope ya didn't find to much wrong with the rest of the guide [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I sure miss my old druid days, but unfortunately life has me working myself to death and unable to play Saum any more [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] Miss the p99 community and wish ya guys well [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
