Default P1999 Laptop graphics card

Hi, got my friend started. He is playing on a laptop and we cant get the client to use his dedicated graphics card (nvidia 750m) instead of his integrated gpu (intel 620). reading through old posts we tried everything - nvidia control panel, rightclicking the exe and choosing "run with..." etc. In-game, the options window doesnt even show the nvidia 750m.

Any tips? thank you

Is the Nvidia device even showing up in device manager? I've had to restore defaults in BIOS settings to get this to work previously.

Does changing the global setting for the graphics card to always use the "high performance" card make a difference? That card is from 2013 so it should be fine, my 980M is detected and works without issues.

Saw this - so at least someone else is using (yes a different client but w/e) and it works:

If you're on the latest driver try rolling back to a prior version?

Have you tried to open the game, then go to options instead of login, this should allow you to choose the graphics card. You mention the ingame options window but I don't think you checked this.

I have tried most recent nvidia driver and here is the solution.

Try these two version of driver
436.48 Ok for 10x0 or higher chipset
425.31 Ok for 9x0m and under chipset

after install, right click your mouse and select nvidia program to force driver to run eqgame with nvidia card.

I'm having same issue. I have an Acer Nitro AN515-53, I5 8300H, with Nvidia 1050ti. Tried all the solutions here and it still will not use Nvidia card. I loaded Guild Wars 2 and it will use the Nivida card.

I have updated all the drivers and BIOS. I have set the program and global settings to use Nivida as the default. I played 12 months ago and I don't think I had this problem. I came back to play green and the EQ ran terrible and I started to look into why.

Anyone else?
