Strafe run, even.
There are a lot of great articles on the wiki. https://wiki.project1999.com/Newbie_Guide https://wiki.project1999.com/Loraen%27s_Enchanter_Guide My main advice would be to pick a caster for your first character as melee classes are very gear-dependent. Druid/necro, enchanter, or mage. And keep in mind that EQ doesn't have a curated new player experience like newer games. The lower levels can be a slog as you have little of your class toolkit and it takes a long time to level, especially on your own. It becomes easier to find groups though in your teens and I think that's where this game shines, the long journey to 60 and not the end game. | ||

I would suggest starting on green due to the larger player population. Ignore all the class talk in the class subforums too once the purse swinging happens. They are foaming at the mouth about level 60. EQ's magic is in the journey to 60, not end game raiding.
