Velium Focus quest/ Phenocryst question

I've had everything for the final fight for Phenocryst Focus on my enchanter for ages now, forgot about that and I finally thought about it recently but I've completely ruined my Geonid faction grinding to 60.


So has anyone tried/ managed to complete the quest charming Phenocryst with Dictate ?

I thought about going there with a couple guildees including another enchanter,

clearing/ Pacifying all the mobs in his room
Dictate Phenocryst,
turn in the crystals + focus
Gate & camp,
log back in,
kill the 3 giants & loot symbols
Dictate Phenocryst again,
do the final turn ins,
get the focus,
Gate,
profit

You need amiable faction to do the final parts of the quest. Not sure if alliance will get you there from indifferent. The wiki has a guide on how to repair broken faction, although I'm guessing it's time consuming

Pretty sure charmed mobs are amiable to the charmer

The wiki entry for Phenocryst suggests he seems to resist Dicate, or he's immune to charm.

Meh, you're right, I did not think of looking him up checking on the wiki.
